Yippee Coyote is a rock ‘n roots band based in Redding, CT that features guitars, banjo, harmonica, bass, drums and is fronted by male/female vocals with tight harmonies.
This band of seasoned musicians has been playing together for about nine years performing at various CT venues such as Toad’s Place in New Haven, The Norwalk Oyster Fest, The Redding Roadhouse, and further from home, Yippee has appeared on WDVX’s Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN.
Yippee plays some off-beat covers and original tunes that can be described as playful, catchy and quirky. Influences come from every direction – from roots to pop to blues to 70’s am radio – Yippee will get your feet tapping!
Currently the band is working in the studio to produce a new cd and video featuring their original song, “Face in the Moon”, based on a woman who is obsessed with an actor and travels to Detroit to meet him on a whim. They will also be recording another original tune called ‘Umpawaug Road’ based on a five-mile walk down a spooky road…
